The first tower has four drawers. Top drawer is filled with silver ware, chop sticks and small utensils. The second drawer is filled with side cars. The third drawer is filled with coordinated bento boxes and the fourth drawer is filled with water bottles and thermos jars. The second tower has three drawers. The top drawer is filled with picks, small sauce containers, vegetable and food cutters, and rice molds. the second drawer is filled with large lock and lock containers and family sized bento boxes. The third drawer is filled with lunch bags and my laptop lunchbox system. Every thing is super easy to find and saves a lot of time during preparation. Now I have to concentrate on the garage...a much bigger task. Wish me luck!

Is It Wrong to Love An Appliance?
I have to ask myself...is it wrong to love an appliance. I don't think so, not if that appliance is a slow cooker. I fell in love with mine in the very beginning of my marriage when I worked the evening shift in the hospital and at supper time I was running out the door to go to work. All my husband needed to do when he was ready to feed the kids was plate up the meal. Now even though I work during the day this love affair has flourished. Twenty years later, I am still running out the door and tired when I return home in the evening. I find that I have much more energy in the morning before I leave for work. It is so nice to have a meal ready and waiting.Monday, October 5, 2009
Getting Started Menu Plans

For the last three weeks I have been using a weekly meal planner to focus my grocery shopping. I tend to be very impulsive when it comes to purchasing at the grocery store. It is my hope that with better planning that I can save money, reduce waste and save space in the cupboards. Most menu planning guru's are familiar with the website: http://orgjunkie.com/menu-plan-monday. Today I join the challenge. I usually plan on Fridays but will post on Monday in order to stick with the program. The idea of knowing what's for dinner before I leave for work on Monday is a real impetus for getting started. My kids are always teasing me that I keep trying to get organized but the results are slow. My co-workers see me as very organized...something must be working. I just need to keep in mind the following slogan from the guru herself, Laura "Organizing is a process not a destination".
Here goes:
Saturday: Dinner Out with my honey
Sunday: Crockpot Alphabet Potroast and vegetables
Monday: Crockpot Vegetarian Chilli with rice
Tuesday: Chicken Soup with rolls
Wednesday: Baked Ziti
Thursday: Crockpot Greek Chicken with noodles
Friday: Once a Month Cooking Lemon Chicken
