I saved, I found, I bought, I waited. I ordered this cute little bento from Japan and shipped it slow mail to my home. I waited 6 1/2 weeks for it's arrival, but who's counting. I think he is so cute I am seriously considering displaying him in my china closet. Tomorrow is his first debut in my lunch box. I packed a four point bento filled with Hungry Girl Beef BBQ cup, sliced cucumber in pickle with ginger. Baby tangerine with red seedless grapes, cherry tomatoes and baby spinach leaves. Day 22 on WW and things are fine.

"Have It Your Way" Burger
For lunch today I am having a sun dried tomato veggie burger with rice cheese and jalopeno pepper slices. The bun is white but fortified nutritionally to resemble wheat. The salad side is mixed greens with marinated mushrooms and tomatoes. Mini car of pickles and ketsup. Snack will be fat free rice pudding. Total points for this meal and snack are 4. Still on track with the program day 15!

Happy Rolls and Sunny Side
This bento was created to stay on track with my Weight Watcher meal plan. The rolls are made with fat free torilla, fat free cream cheese seasoned with range salad dressing mix, spinach and chopped yellow pepper. The main bento also includes steamed broccoli and peppers stuffed with laughing cow cheese. The side car is my snack for later, juicy california orange wedges. Goal for the day, drink lots of water and write down every morsel I consume. (Total points for bento four, snack one)

Not So Attractive Bento
Tomorrow's lunch is not so attractive but it will taste good. The large green mound of leaves are steamed artichoke with the heart buried beneath and a greek olive on top. It looked like petals upon creation but now it just looks green. The artichoke is joined by cucumber baran, sliced tomato and chicken breast. The side car is filled with cantelope. The bento is high in fiber and low in fat (estimated at three Weight Watcher points). I have begun weighing my protein which may seem a bit obsessive to most but it helps me portion out my points better. I will probably pack a one point pudding snack or protein bar for the afternoon.

Weight Watcher Bento: Foods that help you lose weight
The incredible, edible egg is one of five foods identified by Health Magazine as good choices to lose weight. The other four foods are skim milk, oranges, potatoes and dark chocolate. This week at the grocery I switched to skim milk, picked up some beautiful oranges and eggs. I intend to include all of these foods in my renewed commitment plan. Well, I don't think I needed permission to eat dark chocolate but maybe just a tiny little left over chocolate Easter egg every once an a while could be good for me. Keep an eye out for them in my weekly bentos, if the teens and husband don't find them first tucked behind the frozen vegetables in the freezer.

Two Point Bento Pack-Snacks
This morning I investigated the deep reaches of the freezer and found these sweet treats I had purchased for my bentos. Thinking weight watcher style I decided to pack them immediately into 2 point portions and return them to the freezer in a ziplock bag. Can you tell which snack has more sugar and less fat? The one with all of the fluff of course. I think these marshmellow shapes will be good for a sweet attack mid-day.Now they are all set for next week when I return to packing lunches. I'm thinking that there is alot more to this idea than meets the eye. I intend to recycle the snack bags whenever feasible and consider adding the point value to the outside package of my other bento stash items. Less is more when it comes to deep thought at 6am.

Weight Watcher Recommitment Bento Style
I officially rejoined weight watchers today and admitted it is time to get serious. How appropriate that the my Easter gift arrived in the mail two days ago. Note the logo. I have always been one very hungry caterpillar. Perhaps this is why my new bento called my name. It's perfect. The bento is small (bottom 200ml., top 250 ml). I think it will work very well on my new plan. I have committed to keeping records with me at all times. I have added this pouch to my purse with all of the tools I need to stay truthful and keep good records. The rest is up to me. I am on Spring Break this week so I may not be packing a bento every day but I will be weighing, measuring and tracking my points.

Bento Bunnies Beware!
What started out as innocent little cake pop of chicks like those shown on www.Bakerella.com have become something much more sinister. The chicks look more like stunned ducks and the bunnies well they are even more frightening. The teens in my house are calling them "Were Rabbits" and that is a pretty good description. I am not sure when I took a wrong turn but they do look a little spooky. Judge for yourself.
